We have been part of our wonderful community since 1998. The Pet Store is a family-owned, local business located in Chambersburg, PA. Since opening in July 1998, we’ve tried to bring happy, healthy pets to families throughout the tri-state area.
The Pet Store is not a big box chain store. We are a local, independently owned and operated business that pride ourselves on our dedication to providing a personal touch for pets and their owners!​

. High quality pet care is our most important goal. We also provide great customer service and love to provide educational opportunities for responsible pet ownership to our loyal customers.

Inspected by the PA Department of Agriculture

, PA Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement and we maintain an “A+” rating with the Better Business Bureau. We have never faced a warning or infraction. Inspection records can be found at the PA Department of Agriculture, by searching Kennel Name as “Cobwebs” in Franklin County. Our inspections are publicly available.

Giving back to the community is important to us. We provide dog food, free of charge to all K-9s working for (and retired from) the Chambersburg Borough Police Department, and have since shortly after the store opened in 1998. We know this is a great way to give back!! They provide a great service and we are honored to do this for them. We also donate to many local no kill rescues and shelters in our community.

Most recently, Heartstrings, Cumberland Valley Animal Assistance Program (a pet food pantry serving Franklin County), Reins of Rythym, Nobody’s Cats (Catch, neuter and release program-dedicated in Dr. Matt Murphy’s memory), Justice Rescue,

Protection4Paws

, and a few others. We have provided microchip scanners to several local police departments so they can attempt to reunite pets with their families even when shelters are closed. One hundred percent of your donation goes to the rescues and shelters.

Other companies may offer similar services, but our services come with a personal touch.
Proper care of our pets comes first in our store.

We take great pride in our store, healthy pets and most importantly cleanliness. It is our goal to educate our customers on how to better care for the pets they already own.
